CNY and The Start of Winter Break 2012

Hey guys! How have you been!? I just got the time to blog. I know it's really late but it's better than nothing, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR 2012! WOOHOO. I was so lucky to spend my CNY with family and cousins, well like usual! :D It was a great meeting with them, too bad there are some of my cousins who didn't come to my grandpa's house. I'm sure it will be more fun with Oviene, Ci Cha, Ko Leo, Ci Xian's family and Ci Elly's family there :(

I got shocking sad news.

1. My auntie bought a house which is located far far away from our houses, because her workplace is quite far from the city so she decided to but another house and gonna move in very soon!

2. Ci Gaby's going to German on Feb 2nd to do an internship for 6-7 months!

When I was told those news, my mouth couldn't be closed. It was too shocking for me, and sad of course.

As usual, my aunties were very 'hebring', so I'll show you the pics..

This is the Wheel of Fortune! My uncle made this *how dilligent* and your angpao's value is based on your fortune! I got only Rp. 15k, that was the first time I played it, and the 2nd time it was "NEXT YEAR BETTER". T_T

On Wednesday, I went to GI with my lost best friend, Violetti Valentin! She wasn't lost actually, but I had to wait for a long time to meet her, because last summer holiday she didn't go home. She stayed in Chongqing. We watched Sherlock Holmes 2 and it was really really good. I love the comedy, the mystery, everything! Then we had this heart-to-heart talk we haven't had so far and I really miss it. Vio shared a lot of stories and her feelings (with a lot of anger and passion which made it very funny), I did too, we imagined how fun it would be if we were in the same school, but this is what we have to face.

On Thursday, we made a sudden meeting at MOI. I actually wanted to watch MI4 but I had no one accompanying me.  I was going to watch alone, but just imagining it, it would be too sad for me. So I asked Vio if she had any plan that day, fortunately she didn't have any plan and anything to do. Then I picked her up and we went to Blitz. We watched MI4 and Alvin & The Chipmunks 3. MI4 was really good too! There were only 3 people (including us) in the cinema and Vio was screaming because she was afraid that Tom Cruise will fall from the tall building, yeah she screamed a lot and hold my hand very tightly lol she was really funny and I just laughed at her.

I didn't go out on Friday and Saturday. But I had dinner at Jun Njan Restaurant with some (well a lot) of Taiwanese guests who are spending their CNY holiday in Jakarta and Bali. I heard from Om James that there are a lot of Chinese people in Bali! He said: "just arrived at Bali and I feel like I'm back to China" lol.

On Sunday, I went to Summarecon Mall Serpong. We had lunch at Eastern Kopitiam and the foods were delicious. I thought of buying heels but no, I don't use heels a lot in Jakarta as well as in Shanghai, and the heels that I want was not discounted yet, so I'll just wait for the discount. Hahaha. After that, we went to Alam Sutera residential complex. Then we headed to Central Park. I got a blazer which is discounted for more than 50%! WOOHOO. The original price was Rp. 1 million and I bought it for Rp. 400k, I was freaking out! HAHAHA. Tjoe was also at Central Park and we met for only 5 mins. Tjoe asked me to take a picture with him, he said it like this: "Eeh Michelle, ngalay yuk! *took the picture in public*" lol how embarrassing. Well we did take the picture *poker face*. Time flies by and it was 5.30 pm, my brothers have to go to school tomorrow so does my cousin. So we went home :)

The thing that really bugs me is that I. CAN'T. DRIVE! Yeah I really can't. I freakin' want to learn how to drive and everyone has told me already to learn how to drive, BUT, there's only one problem, MY MOM DOES NOT LET ME :'( Well she has a reason for that, it's because for holiday I just stay in Jakarta for 1 month and then go back to Shanghai. If I learn how to drive now, I can't practice it in Shanghai and soon I will forget how to. Well, sad but true. At least lend me a private driver! :'( I really feel BAD, yes I really100x do for my friends who are very kind to me, picking me up and sending me home if I'm meeting them. I really thank you guys and I PROMISE, if I can drive later, I'll pick you up and send you home, seriously, I PROMISE. If you have ever picked and sent me, please tell me and I'll do the same to you later, please just tell me! T_T Huaaaa!

These are my activities in 1 week. It's going to be hectic for the upcoming week since I'm meeting a lot of my friends! :D I can't wait to meet them! I will update my blog every Sunday I guess? :) Good night!

Exams Are Over!

How are you guys? Finally I finished my exams today! Everything went well and I'm hoping to get an A or A* for the exams, no B, no C, just A or A* *finger-crossed*

"No pain, no gain.." Well it's true! I really studied hard for the exams (even though there were lots of obstacles like TV and LAPTOP). We'll see!

Tomorrow, I'm going back to Tanah Air, so, I'll see you guys soon?

I'm too excited already.

2012

Alright, am going to tell you how I spent my New Year Eve.

First, I went to church. There was an Indonesian mass with a lot of Indonesians so we went there before dinner. Too bad I didn't make a lot of friends because I was with my friends. I think it's better for me to go by myself if I wanna make new friends hihihi :p After that we decided to go to Pankoo for dinner, but we waited for a really long time, Fedo was about to faint already, so finally we ate at a Japanese restaurant. Then we separated because I wanted to go shopping and my other friends were going back to dormitory, getting ready for the party! I didn't join them. I bought a cardigan from Zara, it was on sale AHA. Then we decided to go back to dorm and met up with Tjoe. I didn't expect that we would celebrate our New Year Eve like this. We decided to eat desserts @ HoF, I heard their chocolate things are extremely good and yeah it is really yummy mamamiah. It was 12 am when I arrived at HoF. Around 00:30 am we decided to go back, Tjoe and Fedo wanted to eat mie tek2 in front of school, however when they saw Cha's Restaurant, everything was changed. They decided to eat at Cha's, I didn't eat, I was full and I'm afraid I'll gain more weight. These 2 guys are really amazing. We went home at 2 am.

New Year Eve 2011

How am I going to spend my New Year Eve? Well..

I'm going to sleep over again in my friend's dormitory, then we will go to church for Indonesian Christmas mass, after that we will go to Xintiandi for countdown! I hope everything will be fun!

Talking about resolutions.. I want to be a better me in 2012. I wanna do my first internship (I think I'm not going back to Jakarta on Summer holiday), I want to achieve higher results - receive higher level of scholarships - shop crazily. Hihihi :p I wanna travel to KOREA, cities in China, etc. Thinking of making a list what we wanna do in 2012.

1. Desserts hunting in Shanghai WOOHOO!
2. CYCLING
3. Traveling around China
4. ...

Man I can't believe 2011 went so fast! This year has been very good. Memories and moments are cherished. Sighs. It's just sad..

Dear Oviene,

You're going to Canada tomorrow night, yes? So, I would like to say some words for you..

Be a good girl once you arrive there. Control yourself and your spending. Always think of your parents who send you far away for higher education. They've spent quite a lot of money and they must have been very sad because you leave them.. Even your brother, Oniel, whom you find he's kind of annoying, I'm sure he will miss you, yes, WE will miss you, especially me.

It's been a long time since we had heart-to-heart talk, and when I arrive at Jakarta later, it will be so much different! We always do things together and you're gone now, I mean, I have to accompany Unyil alone! ;(

Sometimes I think why do we have to grow up and later we will be separated? But that's just how life works, that's the nature of life. We can't just avoid it.

It's hard out there, I know, 'cause I do feel like that too. Different friends, culture, homesick, etc.. But you just got to make things work. Make a lot of friends, learn the whole new world for you and you'll be okay.

Sorry if I haven't got time to Skype with you, school has been very busy.. I'm hoping to video-call with you, later sometime, and am hoping to see you very very soon.

Promise me you'll be a good girl and a good daughter.
Again, I will miss you definitely.
